Cheap Pandora CharmsDubbo has experienced its driest June in 25 years with just 11mm recorded at the official airport weather station. The long-term average for the month is 50mm so Dubbo has fallen a long way short, meteorologist Tom Saunders said.
“People are looking to the skies wondering when dry conditions are going to end,’’ he said. “Rain is predicted for the Central Western Slopes and Plains on Monday but Dubbo is only expected to receive a few millimetres, which will be pretty worthless. “There won’t be much improvement in the short-term, but the seasonal outlook indicates a return to close to average rainfall from mid-July to September.’’ Dubbo’s average rainfall in July and August is 44mm with 43mm in September. “Rainfall should pick up throughout the Dubbo area during summer,’’ Mr Saunders said. “January is generally the wettest month, with an average rainfall of 61mm.’’ Mr Saunders said natural variability led to drier than normal conditions around Dubbo in June. “But the good news is there’s no big picture reason for the dry spell,’’ he said. “Rain should start to fall over the next few months.’’ Temperatures in Dubbo were below average through most of June, with a lot of cold nights. Mr Saunders said the “warm spell” experienced this week resulted from northerly winds. pandora sets
“But it won’t last,’’ he said. “Much colder temperatures are expected from Monday and Tuesday when winds swing around to the west and south-west.’’ After spending the past month in Group 11 camp with Macquarie players Jade Williams, Moses Manu, Ash Conn and Chris Daley, Forbes captain-coach Adam Hall believes he knows a few of the tricks that can help his team beat the Raiders at Apex Oval on Sunday. The round 10 clash is shaping up as a season-defining game for both sides, with Forbes in the hunt for a top-three finish and Macquarie needing a win to keep their semi-finals hopes alive. Hall and Williams, along with Group 11 teammates Rowan Orcher, Pat Rosser and Mick Doig, were this week selected in the NSW Country Seconds side to face Queensland at Uralla on July 23 and the Forbes playmaker knows he will need to keep his opposing captain-coach quiet if the Magpies are to be a chance on Sunday. “Jade is a freak,” Hall said bluntly. “In the Group side we played on the same side of the field as each other and some of the stuff he did was unreal. “I really rate him as a player and I know if he gets loose on us on Sunday we are going to be in for a long day.” Hall believes Macquarie’s place on the ladder (currently seventh) isn’t a true reflection on their ability, rather on Group 11 itself. He backed that up by saying Cobar’s win against Parkes last week was an indication of how good the teams in the competition really are.

“On form we should probably win but like we saw with Cobar and Parkes last week if we don’t turn up ready to play a good 80 minutes of football then we won’t win the match.” All three matches on Sunday shape as entertaining contests with the under-18s to get the day started.
